Chicken Processing
Visit the farm and get hands on training on backyard chicken processing. The course will include ethical dispatch, plucking, evisceration, butchery, and safe handling and packaging. After learning and participating in the chicken processing, participants will take home their very own pasture raised and farm processed whole chicken! Class spots are limited. Payment must be made before you’re spot in the course is held.

Beginner Sourdough
Come learn how to make your own rustic sourdough loaf. In this class, participants will get hands-on experience with feeding a sourdough starter, accurately taking ingredient measurements by weight, mixing, kneading, shaping, proofing, scoring AND baking. All course members will bring home their very own jar of ready to use sourdough starter, feeding instructions, and a fool-proof beginner loaf recipe card.

Garden Planning & Consultation
Using a college degree in agriculture and 10 years of small and large scale gardening/farming experience, the owners of Barter Farms have knowledge to share. If you are wanting to start a new garden or revamp an existing garden contact us! We will make an onsite visit, walk you through measuring, planning, planting, and sustaining a garden. After your garden is established, you have the option to participate in monthly consultation to make sure you stay on track to provide as much good for your family as possible.
