Pasture Raised Poultry

All meat chicken and turkey raised at Barter Farms are raised on pasture and fed high quality locally sourced chicken feed. As part of the farm’s regenerative farming strategy, our poultry is raised in a mobile coop that is moved 1-2x daily in order to provide exercise and nutrients to stock as well as fertilize, maintain garden pests, and manage weeds. All poultry is humanely raised and processed on the farm from the age of 1-2 days old.
